The surprise hit of the summer is about to get its first major update, including new level Jump Showdown and a fix for Royal Fumble.
Given what a hit it’s been it’s obvious that Fall Guys is going to get plenty of support over the coming months and years, but you have to start somewhere and today is that day.
Today’s patch will fix a variety of bugs and glitches, including crash bugs, broken physics, and problems with the collision detection.
That’s not terribly exciting but it is very welcome as Fall Guys is not the most polished game around and could definitely do with some bug fixes, but the good news is there’ll be a new level too.
Jump Showdown was a part of the Fall Guys beta and involves a roulette style device with bars that keep swinging round to knock you over, while parts of the floor disappear.
It’s very similar to levels already in the game but it’ll be added to the randomly picked selection and help to increase the variety.
Fall Guys has proven an instant hit and while a lot of that is down to the fact that the PlayStation 4 version is free it’s still sold over 2 million copies on Steam, where it’s not particularly cheap.
That suggests it’ll be more than just a flash in the pan, although while developer Mediatonic has hinted at Xbox One and Switch versions nothing has been announced as yet.
